He/she will provide financial and administrative support to the division and departments housed within. Oversees pre-post award activities for internal awards funded through the Division. Performs general accounting duties and manages relevant funds. Acts as a subject matter expert and trains division staff accordingly on procedures, policies and general fiscal operations.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. </li><li>4 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting or related field. </li><li>Modern office practices and equipment, including applicable software (Workday, Excel, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. </li><li>5 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting or related field. </li><li>Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA), Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) and/or UAMS Grants Management Certification Program (GMCP). </li><li>Ability to analyze financial records and policies and translate those records to federal requirements for proper expenditure identification and analysis. </li><li>People skills to work with administrators across campus are a must. </li><li>Proficiency in excel, databases, and data manipulation required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>The Financial Analyst will need to be detailed oriented, self-motivated, and have good communication skills. He/she will need to use judgement and experience to apply advance knowledge, skills, methods, and practices to ensure UAMS policies and procedures are followed. He/she also conducts analysis and problem-solving to assist in planning and prioritize a varied workload that involves time-sensitive and/or confidential projects.</p> <p>Internal Awards</p> <ul> <li>Oversee pre and post award activities for internal awards funded through the Office of Research and Innovation.
