<p>Job Title:</p> <p>YCI03H - Senior Statistical Programmer</p> <p>Brief Description:</p> <p>Statistical Programming.</p> <p>Specific job duties:</p> <ul> <li>Write, modify, and maintain programs, which produce data sets, tables, and listings for assigned projects. </li><li>Validation and review of other programs. </li><li>Prepare/review project documentation and/or memos for external communications in conjunction with the Project Manager. </li><li>Assume responsibilities for data transfers, including documentation and correspondence with external vendors. </li><li>Review Case Report Forms and help in the design of databases. </li><li>Review Analysis Plans and provide feedback to the author(s). </li><li>Mentor less experienced programmers. </li><li>Project management tasks in conjunction with the Project Manager. </li><li>Contribute towards process improvements. </li><li>Act as technical consultant to other departments. </li><li>Attend client meetings in conjunction with the Project Manager. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Desired Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>BS/BA or equivalent preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5 years of SAS programming experience or a comparable skill set; at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical/Statistical SAS Programmer</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent understanding of and experience with:</p> </li><li> <p>SAS/Base</p> </li><li> <p>SAS Macro Facility</p> </li><li> <p>Database design principles</p> </li><li> <p>General statistical concepts and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Any additional SAS modules as required by the specific job position</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of a word processing and a spreadsheet package</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team</p> </li></ul> <p>UBC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
