In this role, you will primarily focus on performing various clerical tasks, utilizing your desire for knowledge and development to support the team. Ultimately, all your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes, allowing you to directly improve the lives of patients and their families every day.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 8:30AM - 5:00PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care. </li><li>Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition. </li><li>Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas. </li><li>Perform administrative / clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program OR military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) </li><li>Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within new hire period </li><li>Certification as Medical Assistant within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants </li><li>Successful completion of a Cleveland Clinic externship </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
