Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care? Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Initiates and/or assists with appropriate respiratory and extracorporeal life support (ECLS) tests and procedures, as ordered, to deliver appropriate care to patients. </li><li>Responds to respiratory and ECLS emergencies and transports patients when moved from units for tests and procedures. </li><li>Prepares appropriate care plan and makes specific recommendations to physician for indicated therapy. Schedules patient treatments as necessary and provides consultation as an active member of the patient care team. </li><li>Manages the administration of all aspects of respiratory therapy and ECLS according to the policies and procedures, including ECLS equipment. </li><li>Makes regular bedside rounds and administers Respiratory Care modalities to assigned patients. Modifies treatment care plan according to clinical picture and response to therapy. </li><li>Participates in education of students, physicians, staff, and patients/families. Clinically supervises respiratory therapy students in patient areas. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy required and Bachelor's Degree Respiratory Therapy preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
