This position involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support the culinary team. The primary end result of this role is to deliver high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. The Prep Cook will also assist in menu planning and food presentation, contributing to a positive dining experience. Ultimately, this position is vital in promoting the health and well-being of our residents through nutritious and delicious food.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as per the menu requirements. </li><li>Assist in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of the head chef. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas. </li><li>Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment. </li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any dietary restrictions. </li></ul> <p>Our ideal candidate</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Culinary degree or certification. </li><li>Experience working in a senior living or healthcare food service environment. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>The required skills for this position include basic cooking techniques and food preparation skills, which are essential for efficiently preparing meals.
