Two Positions Available Locations Tallmadge, Ohio Warren, Ohio</p> <p>This is a Contingent position.</p> <ul> <li>During school year: Primarily after 3:30 PM in 3-hour increments </li><li>Summer months: More flexible daytime hours available </li></ul> <p>Are you interested in a career in social services? This position is a direct, hands on opportunity with great flexibility.</p> <p>Behavioral Health Respite Treatment Advocates with National Youth Advocate Program work closely with adolescents, youth, and children as well as families and community partners, to provide advocacy and support through behavior health and respite care for individuals with mental and behavioral health diagnoses in the home, community and office setting. Responsibilities may include transportation, participation in community activities, or one on one in home services.</p> <p>Working at NYAP</p> <ul> <li>Flexible Schedule </li><li>Mileage reimbursement </li><li>Phone reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Participate in the development of the youth treatment/service plans </li><li>Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting in achieving identified goals. </li><li>Ability to provide oversight and participate in 1-on-1 activities with the client according to treatment plan. </li><li>Ability to engage clients; document conversations and outcomes and submit paperwork for billing </li><li>Identify outside resources and services in the community for youth development and goal attainment </li><li>Must be willing to provide transportation for client(s) to and from outside locations and activities as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>21 years of age or older. </li><li>Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree or enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor's Program; Preferred, GED or High School Diploma; Required. </li><li>Experience in child welfare; Preferred. </li><li>Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed; Availability for after school hours, evenings and weekends. </li><li>Working, reliable telephone. </li><li>Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. </li></ul> <p>Driving and Vehicle Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Reliable personal transportation </li><li>Good driving record </li><li>Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability </li></ul> <p>NYAP is participating agency in the Great Minds Fellowship and Great Minds Workforce Commitment Incentive Programs.</p> <p>Apply today!</p> <p>www.nyap.org/employment</p> <p>Benefits listed are for eligible employees as outlined by our benefit policy.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.</p>
