<p>Posting dates for internal transfers:</p> <p>March 6, 2025, through March 8, 2025</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <ul> <li>Performs duties which assist with the performance of patient care. </li><li>A person who performs clerical, receptionist, clinical and related duties in wound care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or clinical coordinator. </li><li>Cross-training between roles is expected. </li></ul> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Complies with the approved policies, procedures, rules and regulations for the general operation of Alliance Community Hospital and the Nursing Service division.</p> </li><li> <p>Displays knowledge of Alliance Community Hospital Disaster Plan for Emergency Preparedness (in real and simulated situations). Performs appropriately in crisis and emergency situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes responsibility for own actions, demonstrating accuracy, competency and accountability in performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in committees and educational offerings for self-growth or improved competency and performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs clerical and receptionist duties in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in maintaining clinical area</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps exam rooms and nursing stations clean and orderly</p> </li><li> <p>Performs restocking of all room supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and sterilizes all equipment in the clinical area and keeps necessary logs</p> </li><li> <p>General office duties</p> </li><li> <p>Answering the phones, making appointments, registration and other clerical duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Scanning documents and attaching them to electronic medical records (EMR)</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with OSHA and HFAP requirements for the office as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Order office supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of billing, coding and charge entry.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of and need for accurate, concise, complete and legible records in electronic medical records and registration/scheduling procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Seeks guidance as needed for clarification and performance of duties.</p> </li><li> <p>Recognizes and responds to priorities in the patient care process.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete assignments without interference with quality of work.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the orientation of new team members and volunteers.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in data collection and compiling statistics as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizes and orders supplies properly.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates basic competencies for assigned technical skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely operates and maintains equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for checking emails and online learning assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>HEALTH CARING STANDARDS / VALUES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Greet customers, visitors, and colleagues immediately with a smile, warm greeting, and introduction, calling them by name if possible.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceed the expected and anticipate the unexpected by asking, "Is there anything else I or a fellow colleague can do for you?"</p> </li><li> <p>Always provide a comforting, timely, caring departure or discharge, and always say thanks for allowing us to serve.</p> </li><li> <p>Integrity, openness and fairness in all you do</p> </li><li> <p>Team work</p> </li><li> <p>Pride in Department</p> </li><li> <p>Individual creativity and Innovation</p> </li><li> <p>Compassion and caring</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain department and hospital standards and policies.</p> </li></ol> <p>AGE APPROPRIATE CARE:</p> <p>Colleague has been instructed in providing customer service and on interacting with age groups as related</p> <p>to the department's general client population: including use of appropriate interventions, communication and skills to match the age and/or abilities of the patient/family.</p> <p>MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT USED:</p> <p>General office equipment, personal computers, the internet, digital camera, electronic medical records (EMR), vitals equipment, personal protective equipment and all equipment related to the provision of direct care.</p> <p>EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>High school graduate with the ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and processes preferred. Training and/or experience in medical billing and/or coding desirable.</p> <p>Must be computer-literate to complete task(s) as required.</p> <p>SKILLS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Ability to relate to patients, hospital staff and visitors; able to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent computer, clinical, clerical and organizational skills are essential. CPR and First Aide certifications within 6 months of hire.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Able to stand/walk for up to 9.5 hours per shift. </li><li>Able to bend to reach items on the floor, bedside level; and stretch to reach over a bed. </li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs. intermittently, unassisted. </li><li>Ability to see clearly and hear normal speaking voices. </li><li>Able to communicate verbally in person and by telephone with a clear concise speech. </li><li>Dexterity to write legibly. </li><li>Have a neat and clean appearance. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBLE TO:</p> <p>Manager and Clinical Coordinator</p> <p>This description is intended to describe the essential job duties and the essential requirements for the performance of this job.</p>
