<p>Student Center Staff/Lifeguard</p> <p>Work all scheduled shifts, with strict attention to being on time. (Weekends and evenings included.)</p> <ul> <li>Support the overall safety of participants and security of equipment. </li><li>Familiarize participants with the safe and effective use of pool, rock-wall, fitness, aerobic, and free weight equipment. </li><li>Conduct ID or payment checks of all participants that come into the Student Center. </li><li>Maintain equipment and report any safety or maintenance needs to Student Center Operations Coordinator. </li><li>Clean and "wipe down" all equipment on a regular basis as scheduled with documentation. </li><li>Follow opening and closing procedures at all stations, with documentation. </li><li>Prepare incident and injury reports when appropriate. </li><li>Re-stock all first aid kits, maintain supply inventory, and check out towels. </li><li>Respond to, and follow, all emergency procedures. </li><li>Attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops. </li><li>Maintain a friendly and upbeat environment at all times. </li><li>Maintain a safe environment for all participants. </li><li>Maintain knowledge of all current activities and upcoming events and activities within Student Center. </li><li>Adhere to all Student Center and College policies and procedures. </li><li>Provide quality customer service for all participants. </li><li>All other responsibilities as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current actively enrolled student at Hocking College </li><li>Ability to follow verbal and written directives </li><li>Current Lifeguard Certified </li><li>Working knowledge of facilities and equipment </li><li>Excellent organizational and planning skills </li><li>Awareness of, and appreciation for, individual uniqueness and diversity </li><li>Open to new ideas and the ability to adapt to changes </li><li>Understanding of positive customer service </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be requested and reviewed according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).</p>
