<p>Hornblower is seeking an Assistant Steward for our Seaward Services operation on the Endeavor or Explorer.</p> <p>About the Opportunity:</p> <p>Assist Chief Steward with food preparation and serving, as well as properly storing foods and protecting foods from contaminants. Coordinate with Chief Steward regarding action plans for meal periods.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure galley, storage areas and crew mess are clean, sanitary and organized. Assist Chief Steward with food preparation and serving, as well as properly storing foods and protecting foods from contaminants. Coordinate with Chief Steward regarding action plans for meal periods. </li><li>Responsible for ware washing, storage, stocking and cleaning of galley spaces and equipment. Ensure proper levels of service-ware are maintained between and throughout meal periods. Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety specifications. Assist as needed in all mandated inventories and orders. </li><li>Participate in vessel meetings. Participate in all USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed. </li><li>Ensure behavior and performance support company Mission. Follow company values in responding to others in work situations. </li><li>Follow all Company, USCG and FDA rules and regulations at all times. Maintain compliance with the company uniform and personal appearance standards. </li><li>Additional job duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma or Equivalent Required. </li><li>Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) OS, Wiper, SD (FH). </li><li>Valid USCG Medical Certificate </li><li>A valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC). </li><li>Have and maintain a valid U.S. Passport. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communications skills. </li><li>Strong basic mathematical skills (add/subtract/multiple/units of measure/fractions/etc.) </li><li>1-2 years of experience in related field. </li></ul> <p>Salary: $315 / day</p> <p>About Us:</p> <p>Hornblower's passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
