This role involves programming, installing, and troubleshooting BAS controls to ensure optimal building performance and energy efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a hands-on technical mindset and a passion for smart building technology.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Program and configure Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC controls. </li><li>Install, test, and commission control systems to ensure proper functionality. </li><li>Troubleshoot system issues and perform technical diagnostics onsite and remotely. </li><li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure successful system integration. </li><li>Maintain and update project documentation including control drawings, programming files, and operation manuals. </li><li>Assist with customer training in BAS system usage and maintenance. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company, industry, and safety standards. </li><li>Provide technical support for ongoing service and warranty-related issues. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS programming, or related technical field. </li><li>Familiarity with major BAS platforms such as Tridium, Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell. </li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sequences of operation, and energy management principles. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. </li><li>Experience with networking and communication protocols. </li><li>Proficient with software tools for programming and diagnostics. </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. </li><li>Ability to work independently in the field and manage time across multiple projects. </li><li>Associate's degree or technical training in HVAC, Controls, Electrical Systems, or related field preferred. </li><li>Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and clean criminal background. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires:? stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year.
