<p>Billing/Charge Analyst - Ambulatory Services</p> <p>7am-330pm/Monday-Friday</p> <p>Full Time/40-Hour Week</p> <p>Akron Campus</p> <p>Summa Health System is recognized as one of the region's top employers by a number of third party organizations, including NorthCoast 99. Serves as department resource for verification of charges, coding and medical necessity.</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <p>a. High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>b. Associate's Degree or Certification in Healthcare Administration, Billing & Coding, or Medical Office Technology preferred.</p> <p>Experience & Training Required:</p> <p>a. Two (2) years' experience of medical billing, coding, or denials management</p> <p>b. Knowledge and understanding of billing processes</p> <p>c. Knowledge of revenue cycle</p> <p>d. General knowledge of CPT and ICD-10CM codes</p> <p>e. Knowledge of medical terminology</p> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <p>a. Ability to perform multiple tasks and appropriately set priorities</p> <p>b. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing</p> <p>c. Ability to develop innovative ideas for billing workflows that create system automation and/or increased revenue</p> <p>d. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity</p> <p>Level of Physical Demands:</p> <p>a. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.</p>
