<p>ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communication with previous shift material handlers on any updates from previous shift's work.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify pallet specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>De-staging current job and staging for next job includes pallets and item count</p> </li><li> <p>Accountable for retrieving raw materials and supplies for production.</p> </li><li> <p>Packing supplies for current job and moving skids.</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-staging for next job includes gathering raw materials, product and packing supplies</p> </li><li> <p>De-staging completed jobs including returning any un-used materials, product and packing supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Operate material handling equipment to safely load machinery with material.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain pallets, boxes, bottoms and dividers to take plastic bails off and to load the truck with the plastic bails.</p> </li><li> <p>Visualize and measure pallet size with correct box.</p> </li><li> <p>Record type of plastic and weight size.</p> </li><li> <p>Transports materials to and from storage to designated area using forklift, pallet jack, carts and other devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Carry out assignments in a timely, diligent and safe manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Lifts heavy objects by hand or uses hand pallet jack and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain assigned lines in a clean and orderly condition; follow all safety policies and procedures including GMP practices to meet company standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps the flow of the process moving at a fast and steady pace.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>1 Year Forklift Experience </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Exemplify Rohrer's Core Values: Partnership, Integrity, Drive, Initiative </li><li>General mechanical aptitude </li><li>Ability to read and write up work orders </li><li>Capable of learning as you go and adapting new knowledge to the job itself </li><li>Ability to think fast and make accurate decisions </li><li>Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills </li><li>Essential time management skills </li><li>Strong communication skills with various types of people through out the organization </li><li>Ability to motivate yourself and work independently with little supervision </li><li>Ability to lift, push or pull average of 50 lbs. or greater by hand or use of pallet jack, forklift or other equipment </li><li>Constant physical demanding work; continuous bending, lifting, and climbing </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be on feet the majority of the day </li><li>Ability wear require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) </li><li>Ability to work overtime or alternate shifts as necessary </li></ul> <p>AVAILABLE SHIFT:</p> <ul> <li>2nd Shift Hours: 2:00PM - 10:00PM, Monday - Friday, OT as necessary </li></ul> <p>Compensation for this position can be up to $21.00/hr.
