Forward is a single resource for your shipping needs.</p> <p>Position: Warehouse Lead</p> <p>Core Responsibilities & Duties:</p> <ul> <li>· Assign staff to verify counts, carton dimensions and reweigh shipments accurately, record amounts on reweigh & dim sheets </li><li>· Process outbound shipments for drops at the TDG/Air carriers </li><li>· Record all OS&D issues on paperwork and to the OS&D department </li><li>· Receive inbound truckloads and ensure freight staged securely </li><li>· Work with the office staff to expedite the processing of shipments </li><li>· Certified operator of forklifts </li><li>· Oversee labeling customer goods with identifying information for shippers' BOL/cartage agent paperwork </li><li>· Oversee loading freight into rail, ocean and OTR containers by hand or using material handling equipment per customer routing directions </li><li>· Ensure that dock checks are performed to confirm accuracy of on hand inventory and physical location </li><li>· Report all injuries, mishaps, damages, and problems to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager </li><li>· Ensure that all safety rules are always followed </li><li>· Maintain a safe environment while you Open and or Close Facility </li><li>· Support the maintenance of both the facility and equipment </li><li>· Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and dock as well as the area surrounding the facility </li><li>· Support Facility Manager with escorting vendors for repairs and maintenance when needed </li><li>· Support OS&D personnel with dock checks and damaged shipments </li><li>· Follow all TSA rules and regulations </li><li>· Compliance to company policies with respect to the employee handbook, safety regulations and use of company supplied equipment/resources </li><li>· Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>· Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner applying common sense understanding </li><li>· Gather and analyze information skillfully </li><li>· Plan and prioritize work activities utilizing the resources and reports available to complete required tasks productively and in a timely manner </li><li>· Able to develop alternative solutions </li><li>· Able to write clearly and informatively and present numerical data effectively and accurately </li><li>· Able to read and interpret written information </li><li>· Maintain confidentiality </li><li>· Ability to perform basic math skills including additions, subtraction, division and multiplication of whole numbers, common fractions and decimals </li><li>· Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>· Must be proficient with Excel, Word and Transoft </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>· Competitive base salary </li><li>· Paid time off within the first year of employment, sick time and holidays </li><li>· Company provided life insurance </li><li>· Health, vision, and dental insurance options </li><li>· Commuter benefit plan </li><li>· Optional supplemental life insurance </li><li>· 401(k) </li><li>· Wellness program </li><li>· A great place to work with a terrific culture </li></ul>
