<p>Summary of Position:#Supervises and coordinates day to day activities and ensures smooth and efficient operation of the laboratory to provide quality patient care. # Primary Job Responsibilities:# Delegates and supervises the routine operations of the section and maintains good communication with all clinical decisions of the laboratory and hospital. Reviews and updates all policy, procedure and instrument manuals to ensure compliance with accreditation, legal and regulatory requirements. Meets annual requirements for budgetary purposes of capital equipment, supplies, wages and salaries and submits to Director any monthly variances. Conducts performance appraisals for personnel within area of authority using administrative guidelines and procedures within time line. Provides direction to lab personnel to ensure achievement of clinical lab goals and objectives, teamwork and employee achievement and development.# Provides appropriate discipline as needed. Monitors trends in technology and recommends new tests and instruments as needed.# Evaluates calibration, quality control data and documentation to ensure compliance with tolerance limits, quality test results and proper instrument functioning; identifies any persistent problem or situation that requires additional action and provides follow up to resolve issues. Supervisory#Responsibilities:#Supervises Clinical Lab Technologists and Clinical Lab Technicians. # Minimum Qualifications:#Bachelor#s degree or equivalent.
