The MIC at Mass General provides infusion-based therapies for patients in Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Rheumatology and other clinics.</p> <p>The MIC serves established patients who see physicians at Mass General. Our highly-trained care team offers infusion therapies designed to meet individual patients' needs with care and compassion.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Infusion RN is to provide clinical care with a primary focus on medical infusion.</p> <p>Principle Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides safe, efficient and compassionate patient care to all medical infusion patients </li><li>Develop an ongoing implementation of therapy plan, education and counseling of patients and loved ones </li><li>Practice according to ANA and INS standards of care </li><li>Attends and participates in team meetings </li><li>Documents relevant patient information and current plan in EMR </li><li>Performs a nursing assessment and formulates an individual plan of care for assigned patients </li><li>Prioritize and initiate specific nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and update the care plan as needed </li><li>Performs technical skills (i.e. VAD access, venipuncture) accurately, per policy - Participates and collaborates with nursing colleagues and other providers to deliver patient care in a timely manner </li></ul> <p>Customer Service Responsibilities Required:</p> <ul> <li>Conveys Compassion: Demonstrates awareness and shows sensitivity to others needs. </li><li>Respectful of Others: Considers others viewpoints and treats others with honesty, fairness and integrity.
