We invite you to become part of Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network.</p> <p>Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network and St. Vincents Hospital are excited to announce the opening of our 6th rehab clinic in Norwalk, Connecticut. This office opening in October 2025 will be part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, rehabilitation, and wellness professionals dedicated to improving the health of the community. We are seeking dedicated and passionate professionals to join our team and help us provide exceptional patient experience. This clinic will include specialty programs in: Pelvic Health, Lymphedema, Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Orthopedic and Neurologic Occupational Therapy, Back to Life Fitness program</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>The Exercise Physiologist implements and supervises physical exercise programs for patients.</p> <ul> <li>Provides patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation. </li><li>Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current </li></ul> <p>medication regimen. Monitors patient's response and revises plan accordingly.</p> <ul> <li>Recognizes contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Responds appropriately to all </li></ul> <p>situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.</p> <ul> <li>Provides exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking </li></ul> <p>and education classes.</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with physician regarding the exercise prescription for each patient. Maintains in-depth </li></ul> <p>knowledge of monitoring and arrhythmia identification.</p> <ul> <li>Preparation of report on individual patient to appropriate physician. Appropriately charts progress in </li></ul> <p>Medical Records. Maintains appropriate documentation of patient care.</p> <ul> <li>Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the departmental equipment. Maintains equipment in optimal functioning condition in accordance with manufactures guidelines. provide staff with educational </li></ul> <p>in-service for proper and safe use of equipment.</p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Exercise Physiology / Science or related degree M.S. preferred </li><li>Basic monitor interpretation skills and must successfully pass dysrhythmia class within 3 months of </li></ul> <p>hire.</p> <ul> <li>ACSM Clinical Certification Preferred. </li></ul> <p>We take great care of careers.</p> <p>With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
