<p>Duties</p> <ol> <li> <p>Actively support the mission of the school and district, "Students First, Always."</p> </li><li> <p>Create and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning that facilitates a growth mindset.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide opportunities for all students to experience success, based upon their individual ability and potential.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and implement lessons in accordance with the Next Generation Science Standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess and monitor student progress through standards-referenced instruction and grading.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively participate as a member of the middle school Science-Content Area Team and WMS faculty.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate Response to Intervention Tier 2 instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in school improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with parents and students about current academic and behavioral progress, concerns, and long-range expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze student academic science data to improve individual student as well as school-wide performance.</p> </li></ol> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Willowbrook Middle School is looking for an energetic teacher to join our dynamic Science team beginning in the 2025-26 school year. Qualified applicants would possess a passion for teaching science to middle school students in grades 5th-8th.
