<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Facilities Services Worker - Custodian will perform duties and tasks listed herein in full support of the facilities department as well as other departments on campus to support our students, staff, and faculty.Primary focus and responsibilities will be in performing custodial tasks in support of college activities in buildings. Generally assigned tasks in one or more buildings. As necessary, may be assigned to other specific or general duties within the overall facilities department. These duties may include snow shoveling, set up and take down for events, grounds maintenance, etc.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Removes trash to collection points, sweeps, mops or vacuums floors </li><li>Dusts surfaces of buildings and furniture </li><li>Cleans toilet facilities in assigned areas </li><li>Replaces extinguished lamps in fixtures within safe reach </li><li>Cleans entrance and door glass where reachable </li><li>Reports damage beyond own capability to repair </li><li>Locks and unlocks facilities within assigned areas </li><li>Obtains and stocks supplies, including toilet and cleaning supplies </li><li>Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. </li><li>Provides cross coverage to assist other departments, depending on workload </li><li>Provides other directly related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
