<p>Req Id: 36131</p> <p>Job Title: Student - Building Service Worker</p> <p>City: Hammond</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <ul> <li>Perform custodial duties in residence halls </li><li>Duties include but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, wiping, cleaning restrooms (including toilets and showers), cleaning walls, washing windows, moving furniture, and/or assisting with painting </li><li>Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds </li><li>Operate power and non-power cleaning equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubber, carpet cleaner) </li><li>Standing and walking for extended periods required </li><li>Temporary position, 20-40 hours per week with possibility of some overtime as needed </li><li>Must be able to work between hours of 7am and 4pm, Monday - Friday. Minimum 24 hours per week required. </li></ul> <p>Pay:</p> <ul> <li>$12/hour </li><li>$700 housing credit for students that live in University Village and average 32+ hours per week for duration of contract </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Building Service Workers are required to be a currently enrolled student with Purdue University Northwest and maintain a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.30 </li><li>Building Service Workers are not required to be enrolled in Summer Term classes </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>No experience required </li><li>Previous cleaning experience preferred </li></ul> <p>FLSA Status</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Apply now</p> <p>Posting Start Date: 2/21/25</p>
