<p>B & H</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title:</p> <p>Facilities Jammer</p> <p>Division/Department:</p> <p>Maintenance</p> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>Approved By:</p> <p>Viewed By:</p> <p>Scheduled Hours:</p> <p>1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available</p> <p>Last Reviewed:</p> <p>Employee's Signature:</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The primary responsibility of Facilities Jammer is to set up, maintain and operate machinery. They must be technically inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery. Additionally, they must be able to analyze situations and find solutions if any issues arise. The Facilities Jammer must report all necessary information to their manager and supervisor about any concerns or malfunctions which may interfere with operations or the safety of personnel within the area. Clear jams of all kinds that obstruct free movement of totes and boxes, including U-boats if needed. Check the area where the jam occurred for misaligned sensors or any plastic paper that could have contributed to the jams. Identify potential cause(s) of jams and estops and report same to the HMI or mechanic. Walk through the work area to look out for minor mechanical/electrical issues and relate same to the mechanic. Assist mechanics when requested. When the system is down manually move boxes until the repair is finished. Help with Jams in other areas if needed.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform preventative maintenance on machinery by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily. </li><li>Identify any failures that require monitoring or repair. </li><li>Report to your supervisor and mechanic/technician if larger repairs need to be conducted on an equipment. </li><li>Understanding of production procedures. </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>As assigned by the manager </li></ul> <p>Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>*</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications. </li><li>Good understanding of safety concepts/procedures. </li><li>Understanding the basic controls (start, stop, etc.), sensors, etc. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge typical of 1-2 years of industry experience. </li><li>Trade school diploma or industry certifications are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Physical Environment/Occupational Risks</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse Environment </li><li>Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. </li><li>Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, hammers, nails, and bolts. </li></ul> <p>B&H is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity</p> <p>Eligibility contingent upon background screening</p>
