<p>Cabling Technician</p> <p>Our Employee-Owned, Georgia based Low Voltage Systems Division is seeking Structured Cabling technicians in the Southwest GA area. We are seeking technicians who excel at using communication, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to deliver the highest level of customer service. Positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <p>Inspect work areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.</p> <p>Review and process work and plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, tools, manage schedule/scheduling impacts.</p> <p>Install equipment, install cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.</p> <p>Troubleshoot technical issues to quick resolutions.</p> <p>Complete post installation paperwork and coordinate with supervisor for inspections.</p> <p>Ensure First Class customer service is provided for superior customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Know industry standards/color codes/cable & testing.</p> <p>Candidate is required to be able to perform, but not limited to the following duties:</p> <p>Work is performed while standing, sitting and /or walking, & climbing up & down ladders.</p> <p>Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, balancing.</p> <p>Climbing ladders of various heights and working in cramped corridors.</p> <p>Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull minimum of 50 lbs. with no assistance.</p> <p>Standing for over 95% of workday and / or sitting for 2 hours at a time.</p> <p>Working in indoor & outdoor conditions.</p> <p>Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.</p> <p>Specific vision abilities required for this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.</p> <p>Operate motor vehicles independently.</p> <p>Operate technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Total compensation is dependent on experience and knowledge</p> <p>Positive work environment</p> <p>Stable electrical contractor that is innovative and culturally diverse</p> <p>Growth-oriented culture which leads to the opportunity for advancement</p> <p>Safety and ethics are a priority</p> <p>Employee-owned stock purchase</p> <p>401K match program</p> <p>Paid holidays and vacation/sick time</p> <p>Medical/dental/vision and life insurance options</p> <p>Minimum experience:</p> <p>Possesses a positive safety attitude and high level of personal integrity.</p> <p>Places a high value on workmanship, customer service and satisfaction.</p> <p>Valid driver's license and can pass pre-employment screening requirements.</p> <p>5 years'experience in structured cabling is strongly desired.</p> <p>Has the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with low voltage systems.</p> <p>BICSI Certification (Preferred)</p> <p>MetroPower is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
