Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>As a Virtual Patient Companion at Cleveland Clinic's Administrative Campus, you will use a telemonitoring system to provide continuous remote observation and surveillance of up to 15 patients in a variety of units, departments, and/or locations. This position is essential in ensuring all patients receive top-quality care, and nurses are supported. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned patients, verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and summoning the nursing staff as needed while honoring patient and institutional confidentiality.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 6:30AM - 7:00PM and 6:30PM - 7:00AM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Comply with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods and safety codes.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers and coworkers.</p> </li><li> <p>Cooperate with management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate an understanding of and proficiency in the use of the NAME TeleSitter Solution software.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain visual observation.</p> </li><li> <p>Verbally redirect patients over a digital two-way audio device in patient rooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediately summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients when arriving to monitoring area and upon completion of shift assignment.</p> </li><li> <p>Arrange meal break times and inform staff before leaving the monitoring station so relief may be provided to ensure constant patient observation.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide patients with explanations as necessary without counseling or providing opinions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma/GED</p> </li><li> <p>General knowledge of hospital settings</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to monitor up to 15 patients on one screen at one time and prioritize simultaneous situations</p> </li><li> <p>Communication and computer skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous experience in a hospital environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous clinical experience</p> </li><li> <p>Previous direct patient care experience</p> </li><li> <p>Nurse Assistant/Medical Assistant Certification</p> </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
