Be the difference.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This job, under the direction of a radiologist or physician performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Be the difference.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists Radiologists and/or Physician with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique.</p> </li><li> <p>Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen.</p> </li><li> <p>Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements emergency procedures, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job. Enters and records data accurately and promptly.
