<p>Job Description</p> <p>Heavy-duty technician to perform maintenance on CTtransit's fleet of buses. Perform diagnosis, repairs and preventive maintenance to all Company Vehicles and Equipment.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ol> <li> <p>Three years full time experience as a heavy duty fleet mechanic</p> </li><li> <p>Requires an individual with a stable work history</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, air-conditioning, air brakes and bus mechanical systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to quickly diagnose/correct mechanical and electrical problems, follow directions and work independently.</p> </li><li> <p>Successful completion of the Basic DC Electricity, brake Level 1, steering/suspension training, and PLC training courses.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate buses on property and for road tests, also required to respond to service calls for breakdowns while buses are in service.</p> </li><li> <p>Good verbal skills and ability to work with other employees</p> </li><li> <p>Good written and organization skills to complete & maintain forms and other documents</p> </li><li> <p>Skills and ability to lead and direct a group of employees in all phases bus repair</p> </li><li> <p>Tire Safety Training TIACTS Lever 200, AT3; Advanced Tire Technician</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as directed by the crew leader or supervision.</p> </li></ol> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li><li>Three years full time experience as a heavy-Duty Fleet Mechanic (diesel preferred). </li><li>Have the necessary Skills and tools to perform general repairs to all Company vehicles & equipment. </li><li>Ability to quickly diagnose & correct mechanical problems, follow directions & work independently. </li><li>Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, air conditioning, air brakes and bus mechanical systems. </li><li>Successful completion of Basic DC Electricity, Brake Level 1, Steering/ Suspension training, and PLC training courses. </li><li>Valid Commercial Vehicle Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements. </li><li>Good verbal Skills and ability to work with other employees. </li><li>Good written and organization skills to complete and maintain forms, manifests, MSDS sheets and other documents. </li><li>Skills and ability to lead and direct a group of employees in all phases of bus repair. </li><li>Tire Safety Training TIACTS Level 200, AT3; Advanced Tire Technician. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Visit our website at http://www.cttransit.com/Careers/ and complete the on-line application.</p>
