Join us in growing all aspects of our business while embodying these values.</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Pre-Owned Truck Buyer will focus on strategic purchasing and wholesale operations. This role requires a strong understanding of the commercial trucking market, excellent negotiation and leadership skills and a keen eye for identifying valuable assets. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who can identify opportunities, manage inventory, and develop strong relationships with vendors and wholesale buyers in order to maximize profitability.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Market Analysis and Identification:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a purchasing strategy to acquire pre-owned heavy-duty trucks at competitive prices from various sources, including manufacturers, auctions, dealer networks, private sellers, and fleets. Develop and maintain wholesale networks. </li><li>Stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and demand in the pre-owned vehicle market. Monitor auctions, online marketplaces, and industry publications to identify acquisition opportunities. </li><li>Analyze market data to forecast future needs and optimize purchasing strategies. </li></ul> <p>Sourcing and Evaluate Vehicles:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct thorough inspections and assessments to ensure the vehicles meet quality standards and represent good value. </li><li>Collaborate with the pre-owned management team to coordinate the acquisition, storage, distribution and timely disposal of pre-owned vehicles. </li></ul> <p>Negotiation & Acquisition:</p> <ul> <li>Negotiate favorable pricing and terms for vehicle acquisitions. Make informed decisions based on market analysis and vehicle evaluations. Consider profitability, demand, and inventory requirements when making acquisition decisions. </li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, wholesalers, and other industry contacts. Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay informed about market trends. </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Documentation:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations for all vehicle purchases. Provide management with regular analytical reports on acquisition and wholesale activities. </li></ul> <p>Relationship Management:</p> <ul> <li>Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sellers, industry contacts and internal stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.</p> <p>An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
