<p>Job Summary: The Head Football Coach is responsible for the overall management, development, and performance of the football team. This includes developing practice plans, overseeing student-athletes' physical and academic progress, managing assistant coaches, ensuring team discipline, and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.</p> <p>Qualifications of Employment: ? Must be a certified teacher. ? A passion and love for learning and teaching students. ? Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. ? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. ? Resilience and a positive attitude. ? Superb interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. ? A growth mindset.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Coaching & Player Development: ? Plan, organize, and lead daily practice sessions that develop individual skills, team tactics, and overall football knowledge. ? Teach and demonstrate proper football techniques and strategies. ? Evaluate players' strengths and weaknesses and help them improve through training, feedback, and mentoring. ? Foster a positive team environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and discipline.</p> <p>Team & Game Management: ? Organize and manage team rosters, practices, and game schedules. ? Develop game plans, strategies, and tactical approaches for each opponent. ? Lead and manage all in-game decisions and adjustments. ? Ensure proper player safety during practices and games, following concussion protocols and other safety regulations.</p> <p>Program Administration: ? Manage the football program's budget, including equipment, uniforms, travel expenses, and other resources. ? Coordinate and schedule team events, including practices, games, and team meetings. ? Oversee the maintenance of the football field and other related facilities.</p> <p>Communication: ? Maintain open lines of communication with athletes, assistant coaches, school staff, parents, and the community. ? Provide regular updates on team progress, player development, and game outcomes. ? Conduct regular team meetings and parent meetings to address team issues and individual player concerns.</p> <p>Staff Supervision: ? Participate in hiring, training, and supervising assistant coaches, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. ? Provide guidance and feedback to assistant coaches, helping them improve their coaching techniques. ? Ensure all coaches adhere to school and district policies and guidelines.</p> <p>Compliance & Safety: ? Ensure the football program adheres to all state, district, and league regulations. ? Follow all safety protocols to minimize injuries and ensure the health and well-being of all athletes. ? Monitor student-athletes' physical and emotional well-being. ?
