Our growing facility has more than 800 hundred employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment. This position leads the fabrication shop and is responsible for profit & loss as well as delivery on targets such as: Production, efficiency, overdue, backlog, delivery reliability, ensure safety, quality, and inventory performance.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Safety: The most significant responsibility of this role is ensuring employee safety. Lead the One-a-day program that empowers all team members to identify and eliminate hazards daily. </li><li>Supervise production of the area by managing day to day operational performance. </li><li>Monitor Profit & Loss by managing daily basis sale, efficiency and budget expenses </li><li>Quality: Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems to achieve zero defects. </li><li>Delivery: Ensure customer satisfaction by reducing lead times and providing high levels of on-time delivery. </li><li>Cost: Support your team to continually reduce waste from the manufacturing processes utilizing traditional lean concepts and digital factory technology. </li><li>Inventory: Improve foundational inventory and production flow to meet inventory accuracy and inventory turn-over requirements. </li><li>Conduct team resource planning, staffing, training, communication, and performance management. </li><li>Champion an environment of collaboration and a focus on achieving results within your team and across peer groups. </li><li>Deliver effective change leadership to drive business changes while minimizing people impact. </li><li>Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues. </li><li>Work closely with operational purchasing and logistics to handle incoming material load and work order releases from production. </li><li>Support performance measurement and documentation of manufacturing processes </li><li>Identify and support continuous improvement projects </li><li>Support digitalization efforts to implement tools such as Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, </li><li>Performance/Status Dashboards, and other connected tools </li><li>Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff </li><li>Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor, typically within Business Management, Operations, Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering </li><li>8 plus years of experience in an Operations/ Manufacturing leadership role. </li><li>Highly effective written and verbal social skills. </li><li>Shown experience as a leader of teams with formal supervisory authority, people management skills and leadership. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate, motivate and lead others to achieve results. </li><li>Have a growth mindset </li><li>Result and solution oriented and strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to create accountability and to lead by example </li><li>Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or other environment leading other leaders. </li><li>Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. </li><li>Skilled in data analysis using MS Excel or other tools to measure and lead performance. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with automation and digital manufacturing technology </li><li>A Six Sigma and/or Process Excellence and/or Lean certification </li><li>Experience with computer programming and/or database management </li><li>Experience with SAP or similar MRP system. </li></ul> <p>Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.</p> <p>Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
