The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate of population health, cultivating strong relationships with external organizations, community groups, and policy makers to achieve BMS' population health goals and drive patient outcomes.</p> <p>Reporting to the Vice President, the Associate Director, Population Health Strategy Implementation, is a critical role responsible for driving the execution of the population health strategy leveraging partnerships and community outreach to drive business objectives. In addition, this individual will actively monitor global health trends, health system shifts, and emerging policies to inform strategic planning.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Program Management & Implementation</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with functional partners, including Finance and Legal, to execute initiatives and ensure strategic priorities are aligned with company's overall mission, strategy and business objectives </li><li>Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal partners to execute action plans, achieve milestones, and report metrics to ensure effective implementation. Support teams in identifying gaps and overcoming barriers in execution. </li><li>Partner with Global Policy Strategy team to identify population health related policy insights and ensure integration into business strategy where appropriate </li><li>Support and partner with Global Purpose and Patient Experience team on strategic relationships with multilateral organizations, global health partnerships, advocacy groups and key opinion leaders </li><li>Work closely with external stakeholders (e.g., patient advocacy policy, government affairs) to build and maintain strong relationships with community groups and stakeholders. </li><li>Regularly engage with external partners and community organizations to align and ensure expectations, outcomes and action plans are met. </li></ul> <p>Purpose Communications and Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Purpose communications to develop content that highlights the company's population health strategies, initiatives, and outcomes, maximizing impact with external audiences. </li><li>Work closely with Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure consistent and transparent communication with external stakeholders, coordinating outreach efforts across functions to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to community engagement. Must be able to navigate a complex matrix organization and be able to engage with subject matter experts at various levels across BMS. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree is a plus. </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in healthcare, public health, or a related field. Experience in life sciences or biopharmaceutical industries is a plus. </li><li>Strong understanding of health disparities, social determinants of health, and population health principles. Therapeutic area experience in oncology, cardiology and/or neuropsychiatry is preferred. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, internal and external, through exceptional written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience in using data to drive decision-making. </li><li>Proven ability to think strategically, listen and learn proactively, take initiative, and constantly seek ways to innovate and do things better. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. </li></ul> <p>If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
