<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Department of Mathematics seeks applications for a part-time faculty member to teach mathematics or data science courses. Potential courses may include introductory courses such as Introduction to Statistics or Math for Liberal Arts, or upper-level math courses in the applicant's area of expertise. This adjunct position would be for one semester, with an opportunity for renewal. The instructor must have a combination of education and professional experience and expertise in the subject area.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Deliver instruction appropriate to the topic, course description, agreed-upon learning outcomes, academic level and student audience. </li><li>Submit syllabi, grades and other reports on time. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students and faculty in the department. </li><li>Provide assistance to students by appointment. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience commensurate with course topics. </li><li>Master's degree or higher in a related field is strongly preferred. </li><li>Previous teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants and employees with disabilities.
