<p>Job Summary</p> <p>This position performs general to intermediate level maintenance duties required for the Milford facilities. The deliverable is a safe and high level of operation for all equipment functions.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work overtime hours as needed on breakdowns and project work. </li><li>Ability to communicate in a positive way with a variety of personnel (management, office, contractors, factory, etc.) </li><li>Responsible for maintaining a high safety standard throughout the plant (preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements) </li><li>Ability to understand the principles and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic equipment within the factory (presses, shears, laser, overhead crane, electrical systems, air lines, water lines, etc.) </li><li>Ability to perform the following processes: Welding (Mig., Stick), plasma cutting, and torch </li><li>Ability to understand and safely follow the Arc Flash plant requirements. </li><li>Ability to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment within facility, which includes all applicable record keeping </li><li>Training and in-house certification required for in house spill prevention/countermeasures </li><li>Occasionally required to train other technicians </li><li>Responsible for 5S and organization of maintenance work area </li><li>Ability to understand and implement hazard and non-hazard waste storage and labels </li><li>Capable of designing and installing basic to intermediate machine guarding systems. </li><li>Responsible for following plant safety programs (lockout/tagout, etc.) </li><li>Ability to gain knowledge and identify general safety issues within the workplace. </li><li>Must be willing to participate and interact on appropriate plant improvement committees </li><li>Must be able to perform all physical requirements </li></ul> <p>Minimum Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education: High school degree or GED or equivalent factory experience</p> <p>Experience: Candidate must possess the following: Prior factory and maintenance experience required:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a strong focus on safety. </li><li>Ability to read, write, and do basic math in English </li><li>Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical prints and schematics </li><li>Must have a general to intermediate understanding in the maintenance fields of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC </li><li>Must be available to enroll and successfully complete CTB's sponsored Maintenance Training Program (2 to 4 years - Mechanical and Electrical Industrial Degree Programs) </li><li>CNC and CAD/CAM certification helpful </li><li>PLC and Robotic training helpful </li><li>Ability to pay attention to detail </li><li>Forklift license and overhead crane license required </li><li>Good knowledge of safe rigging principles </li><li>Ability to operate scissor lift and articulating (boom) lift </li><li>Ability to work with a computer (Excel - Word - Maintenance software) </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities (self-starter) </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instruction </li></ul> <p>Working conditions</p> <ul> <li>Works in manufacturing environment that can be hot, noisy, oily/grease and dusty at times. </li><li>Must be able to work in outside weather conditions (hot and humid in the summer and very cold in the winter) </li><li>PPE required (such as long pants and shirts (100% cotton), steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, harness, hearing protection, gloves, welding PPE, arc flash PPE, air respirator) </li><li>Working on wet surfaces (preventative maintenance in wash bay) </li><li>Must work at heights at times with fall protection </li><li>Must be willing to work in tight spaces at times </li></ul> <p>Physical requirements</p> <ul> <li>Frequent bending and twisting </li><li>Frequent squatting </li><li>Frequent grasping </li><li>Frequent reaching/stretching </li><li>Occasional lifting 30 to 70 lbs. </li><li>Frequently walking and standing </li><li>Occasional use of a step ladder </li><li>Occasional getting on and off fork truck </li></ul> <p>Direct reports</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Not at All - 0</p> <p>Occasionally - 0-33%</p> <p>Frequent - 34%-67%</p> <p>Constant - 68%-100%</p> <p>DISCLAIMER: This job description reflects the assignment of essential job functions.
