<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>This position is with the SC Department of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services.</p> <p>The program coordinator II will lead efforts towards an integrated model of care, modeling the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) by expanding behavioral health equity, improving access to trauma informed, evidence-based care, transforming community behavioral health systems and providing integrated, coordinated, and person-centered treatment. The incumbent will ensure support 24/7 for those with serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders (SUD), including opioid use disorder; children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance (SED); individuals experiencing Mental Health or Substance Abuse Crisis; with a focus on groups facing health care disparities. In addition, the program coordinator will work in a supportive role to the medical staff.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Program Coordinator II include but are not limited to:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Oversees community vendors, including monitoring contracts, reporting outcomes, and ensuring that vendors meet contract deadlines and deliverables. Duties, also, include contract drafting, negotiation, budgeting, encumbrances, monitoring compliance and budgetary restraints, payment and contract renewal.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops programs to meet the goals of integrated care that including organizing workgroups, planning stakeholder meetings, and scheduling training programs. Communicates with stakeholders through written communications in various formats including emails, newsletters, and website materials. Attends outreach events, particularly with the populations of focus.</p> </li><li> <p>Plans and arranges training for Beckman and other SCDMH staff, centered around working with the population of focus. Work with drug representatives on lunch and learn educational program opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the patient electronic health record (EHR). Document test results ensuring results are entered in the patient record. Record and track sample medication.</p> </li><li> <p>Trouble shoot pharmacy concerns and patient care calls.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with other Center programs and other agencies to ensure that patients receive services as needed, such as Individual Placement and Supports (IPS), Family Peer Support, and Peer Support, Housing and Rental Assistance, and other related entities.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides supervision to the Behavioral Health/Primary Care Navigator.</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.</p> <p>Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in human services or a bachelor's degree and relevant, professional experience in human services or a social services program</p> <p>Must qualify for credentialing and privileging in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by DMH Office of Quality Management</p> <p>Note: If any agency requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.</p> <p>Experience with medical technology or pharmacy technology is desirable.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Mental Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Agency.
