Please see our Conn Selmer website (www.connselmer.com) for more information about who we are.</p> <p>Job Title: Inspector</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Performs inspection, based on sampling procedures, of incoming / outgoing materials or components, in-process materials, or components, or finished goods. </li><li>Collects and compiles data based on said inspections. </li><li>Complies with all Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards. </li><li>Promotes quality awareness; promotes advancements in quality culture. </li><li>Performs inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, vendor-supplied components, work-in-process components, assemblies, or finished products according to established standards using physical, mechanical, or electrical measurements. </li><li>Identifies and communicates components or processes that are performing at substandard yield. </li><li>Accepts, rejects, or quarantines product as required according to established standards and protocols. </li><li>Accurately documents the results of the inspection/testing. </li><li>Works with Production Management and Quality to provide feedback to work associates regarding non-compliance issues. </li><li>Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment. </li><li>This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Regular Attendance. </li><li>Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measure devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.) </li><li>Mechanical and Manufacturing Process aptitude. (Ability to read blueprints & material certifications) </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work autonomously. </li><li>Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures. Ability to evaluate established tolerances and standards (whether descriptive or based on actual measurements). </li><li>Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours. </li><li>Ability to perform repetitive work. </li><li>Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. unassisted. </li><li>Maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment. </li><li>Ability to bring items into sharp focus visually, ability to feel and detect subtle material defects. </li><li>Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing carts. </li><li>Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements. </li><li>Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise, and vibration. </li></ul>
