Drexel is continuing to monitor the situation and will share updates as they become available for calendar year 2026.</p> <p>Research Assistant (Per Diem)</p> <p>Apply now Job no: 504260</p> <p>Work type: Part-Time</p> <p>Location: University City - Philadelphia, PA</p> <p>Categories: Drexel University, College of Arts & Sciences</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Several Research Assistants (RA) are sought to support a research study on carceral conditions and culture.</p> <p>This position works on an as-needed basis.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in management of study records, both paper and electronic. </li><li>Participating in survey administration, including inside of a custodial environment. </li><li>Data coding and management. </li><li>Adhering to codes of the conduct for research, university activities and correctional institutions. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a related discipline. </li><li>Ability to travel regionally as assigned. </li><li>Ability to complete training for Human Subjects Research in the social sciences. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with primary data collection, particularly with justice-involved populations and with conducting confidential semi-structured interviews. </li><li>Training or direct experience with qualitative and/or quantitative data collection </li><li>Ability to conduct engaged research with justice-involved populations, members of vulnerable populations, and agency leadership. </li><li>Highly organized and attentive to detail. </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <ul> <li>University City, Philadelphia, PA </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This is a Part time Per Diem position classified as non-exempt.
